I have attempted a few blogs in the past but they never stuck so let’s try this for real this time. I’m going to throw this out there now: I suck at writing. However, I love to communicate. Most of the time I do it by talking in person or through a microphone. I struggle to put my words on paper BUT being consistent at this will do nothing but help the brand. So…..Welcome to the Moonlighters’ Club…blog.
The past few months have been very eventful for the our podcast. We had our last showcase at Turtle Swamp Brewing. 8 entrepreneurs got on stage to share their stories with over 80 guests. I was able to link up with my old friend, Dwayne, and he decided to join the team.
Once we met up, we slapped some worksheets together in Airtable and started planning for the future.
Step 1 : Video Interviews
Moving forward the majority of our interviews will feature audio and video. Thanks to my good friend Tom Sanford, we were able to shoot our last two episodes with on film. We found a gem of a location at The Innovation Center inside of Copley branch of the Boston Public Library. Hopefully the video component will help us scale our listener base.
Step 2: New Website
It took a while but the new website is up and functional. More content and more depth. I want to be as transparent as possible with all of our visitors. I’m hoping the new site can give us more traffic, give visitors a better experience and give our moonlighters more exposure.
Step 3: New Events
We’ve got two events in the pipeline, Somerfest and our 3rd Showcase. At Somerfest, we’ll be live-casting as well as interviewing performers and event guests. At our showcase, we’ll be featuring more entrepreneurs on stage.
Once the dust settles on both of those, we’ll have something MUCH bigger in the works!
Things are starting to roll and we’ll continue to put out great interviews on a regular basis. I hope you join us on our journey.
